Queer & Trans Empowerment Month (nationally known as LGBT History Month) is celebrated every October at Northwestern University and recognizes the lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, and queer community. The university community host a variety of programs and events which aim to educate on LGBTQ issues and build community on campus.

Previous events have featured Janet Mock, Dark Matter, faculty film screenings, and community discussions on a variety of topics. We hope you will take part in this year's Queer & Trans Empowerment Month events. Stay tuned to our webpage for updates!

Nationally October 15th, has been designated as National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD). In 2003, NLAAD was established in response to the impact of HIV and AIDS on Hispanic/Latino communities nationwide. As part of Latinx Heritage Month at Northwestern, MSA is offering free HIV Testing for students to create awareness around the issues of AIDS in the Latinx community.

Party bus leaves at 6:30 pm from behind the Multicultural Center (bus departs Boystown at 10pm).
Looking for something fun to do for Halloween night? Come enjoy the 21st Annual North Halsted Halloween Parade, full of Chicago's most amazing display of costumes. Afterwards, enjoy the historic Boystown neighborhood with your friends! Seating is limited.
