I lived the majority of my life in a small village called Glenwood which is my main home. However, Chicago and Mexico are other places I consider home due to their meaningful influence on my upbringing.
What do you do at Northwestern?
Currently, I am a graduate assistant through the multicultural student affairs department. My role is to aid the Latinx student communities on campus through creative programming in areas around identity.
What are you passionate about?
From a micro perspective, I am passionate about helping underrepresented students through mentorship and providing resources. From a macro perspective, I am passionate about increasing Latinx representation and being a positive influencer in higher education.
What are some moments/ accomplishments/ projects that you have been proud of?
I am very fortunate to have become the student body president of Prairie State College. As student body president I won many distinctions, including Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders, the Presidents Award for Academic Excellence in Scholarship and Leadership, and Student Leader of the Year.
Where can you be found most of the time?
I can be found mostly at the multicultural student center.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
On my spare time, I enjoy listening to podcasts, reading and spending time with friends and family. Two of my favorite podcasts are The GaryVee Audio Experience and The Tony Robbins podcast.
