Honoring Excellence

2010 Northwestern Alumni Association Awards

For the 78th consecutive year, the Northwestern Alumni Association cast a spotlight on some of the University’s most accomplished and dedicated graduates. Nineteen alumni, representing fields ranging from media to business to medical research, were honored at the NAA Alumni Awards on Oct. 8 at the Union League Club of Chicago.

McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science professor William White (McC61), a life trustee with an impressive background as a business executive, received the NAA’s highest honor —the Alumni Medal. The NAA also presented the Alumni Service to Society Award, the Emerging Leader Award, Alumni Merit Awards and Alumni Service Awards.

Newscaster Joyce Garbaciak Bobber (J84, GJ85) served as master of ceremonies, and the Gentlemen of NUCO, a group of student and alumni musicians that appeared on America’s Got Talent, provided the entertainment.
