Susan Abrams has a big job — to eliminate intolerance. It’s her mission as CEO of the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie, Ill., to teach “the important lessons that battle hate, prejudice and indifference,” says Abrams ’90 MMGT, who oversees the 65,000-square-foot museum, as well as a $10 million budget, 35 staff members and more than 300 volunteers. Part of her goal, she says, is to “broaden the museum’s reach and impact and position the museum as a premier Midwest institution.” Abrams, who directed programmatic review of academic departments, research centers and administrative units at Northwestern before taking a leadership role with the Jewish Community Center of Chicago, is on the advisory board for the Kellogg School of Management’s Women’s Business Association. She and her husband, William ’90 MMGT, live in Highland Park, Ill., and have three children.
