Conversation Starter: Noor Hasan

Sustained Dialogue is a rich and unique way to bring people together to talk about the very issues that divide us, whether they’re related to racial identities or the north-south divide on campus. Sustained Dialogue [an initiative of Student Affairs’ Department of Campus Inclusion and Community] brings together a room full of students who can openly talk about socioeconomic disadvantages or what it’s like to suffer from depression while trying to navigate academics and myriad other campus commitments. Those conversations are the way that the University and the students pave the way for supporting and seeking justice for each other. It’s going to help make this campus more mature.”

Sustained Dialogue moderator and Campus Life Award–winner Noor Hasan, a legal studies and creative writing (poetry) major from Skokie, Ill., will enter Allstate’s Business Leadership Development Program after graduation and hopes to one day attend law school.
