Entrepreneur Energizer: Josephine Lee

“The best part about being a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course was witnessing the aha moment that occurs when a student finds a problem and gains confidence in his or her ability to solve it. EPIC began when I started to believe that my peers — whether they planned to start their own company one day or not — could also benefit from exposure to entrepreneurship. ... I think we’re on the cusp of an entrepreneurship revolution on campus.”

Josephine “Jo” Lee, a learning and organizational change major from Chicago, launched EPIC, a student organization that exposes students to entrepreneurship through events such as Northwestern’s first-ever startup career fair and Project Pitch, a quarter-long, student-organized entrepreneurship development program. After graduation Lee will work with Northwestern trustee Mary Lou Song ’91 on Fuel451, Song’s San Francisco–based startup that develops online video advertising. In 2015 Lee will enter the LinkedIn Global Sales Organization University, a 14-month program.
