Residential Academic Support

All students who live on campus benefit from an ever-growing array of programs to enhance their Northwestern education. The Office of Residential Academic Initiatives collaborates with campus partners to bring students academic guidance and support where they want it and when they need it. For the most current schedule of academic support, check out the website of Academic Support and Learning Advancement.

We partner with the Health Professions Advising to help first-year students connect with pre-med advisers and learn about academic options. Health Professions Advising offers many general information sessions in its conference room to accommodate students’ diverse and full schedules. To reach more students, Health Professions Advising now offers some of these sessions after hours in residential settings.

Get help with Math, Chem, Physics, Econ, & more!

Visit the drop-in peer tutoring sessions, staffed by experienced undergraduate peer tutors, for help in some of the largest gateway courses on campus. Students can work on their own, with each other, or with peer leaders who have succeeded in these courses. Offered multiple days per week in different campus residences, these sessions are a collaboration with Academic Support and Learning Advancement.

Each quarter, there are three Math Exam Review Study Tables offered. Teaching staff from the largest math courses are on hand at these sessions to help prepare students for exams while everyone enjoys brunch in one of our dining halls reserved for the occasion.
