Cot Rental Requests

Residential Services offers Cot Rentals as an amenity for our residents. Cots are folding roll-away beds that students may request to use for up to three (3) consecutive days at a flat rate of $30.00. Requests for extended rentals will be reviewed on an individual basis. Cot Rentals are intended to accommodate temporary guests/visitors. Each cot rental includes a cot with linens.

Request Process

Residents may submit a Cot Rental Request through the form provided on the Maintenance Portal. No other form of request will be accepted. Requests should be submitted at least two (2) days in advance, we cannot guarantee fulfillment of requests received less than two (2) days in advance.


Cot availability is based on the number of requests received; as such, requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that if you submit a request far in advance, the request may be initially approved to be added to the queue but availability may change closer to the delivery date. Residential Services reserves the right to deny any and all requests and/or suspend cot rentals entirely during any part of the year.

Rental Fee

A fee of $30.00 applies to each Cot Rental. This fee, which includes laundering of university-provided linens, delivery, and pick-up will be applied to your Student Account after your cot rental is complete. This is a one-time fee per cot rental, it is not a nightly fee. This fee must be paid by the deadline outlined by the Office of Student Finance.

Delivery/Pick Up

Once your request has been approved, a cot will be delivered and left inside your room between 9AM-3:30PM on the requested delivery date. Please ensure that space is available for staff to place the cot inside your room. The cot will be picked up from your room between 9AM-3:30PM on the requested pick-up date. Please leave all university linens on the cot for laundering; fold the cot and leave it inside your room for pick-up. You do not need to be present for delivery or pick up.

Damaged/Lost/Stolen Cots

Residential Services inspects all cots to confirm they are in proper working order prior to delivery. Cots are inspected again after pick-up. You may be billed for any damages that occur during your rental.

Cots must remain in the room to which they were delivered for the entire rental period. If a cot or any part of a cot is missing when Residential Services arrives to pick-up the cot, we will attempt to contact the resident responsible for the rental. If the cot or part cannot be retrieved within a reasonable amount of time (as determined by Residential Services), the resident responsible for the cot rental may be billed for replacement costs up to $400.00.
