Graduate Assistant | Leadership and Development

Terence Mayo grew up in Richmond, VA and recently moved from Washington, DC. Terence Mayo works at the intersection of Religion, Education, and Public Policy. He currently serves as the Graduate Assistant for Leadership and Development after serving as year as the Assistant Resident Director in the South Area. Terence is a Ph.D. student at Chicago Theological Seminary. Terence has been in both K-12 and higher education for over a decade. He has served in several positions such as a school administrator, teacher, education manager, assistant resident director, and adjunct professor. Terence is also very active in his faith community formally serving as a Staff Minister and Executive Pastor in local congregations.

He has served as a community leader on various national faith-based boards that serve to enhance the spirit of ecumenical and interfaith work for social justice issues. Terence has spoken locally and nationally on issues such as faith-based self-care practices, faith and public policy, and young adults in social movements. He has degrees in Education, Religion, and Business.

Terence is excited to be a part of the community here at Northwestern and continues to learn the Chicagoland area!
