Assistant Director | Community Standards and Operations

Ron Alexander joined the Residential Life team in May of 2020 and serves as the Assistant Director of Residential Life for Community Standards and Operations. In this role, Ron oversees all residential student conduct efforts and supervises four Residence Directors. Prior to Northwestern University, Ron served as the Complex Director for the Undergraduate Residential Center at Emory University with collateral assignments in Residential Student Conduct and Special Events/Traditions. He also has previous professional experience in residence life at George Washington University, Stony Brook University, and Belmont University.

Ron earned his Masters's degree in College Student Affairs at the University of West Georgia. Here he served as the student conduct graduate assistant and completed a summer ACUHO-I internship in Summer Conferences and Events at Yale University. Ron majored in Sociology at Georgia State University and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. In addition to Ron’s professional experience, he is currently a doctoral student studying Student Affairs Leadership at the University of Georgia. Ron is also a active member of ACPA serving in multiple positions within the Pan African Network Directorate Board He is also involved in the Association of Student Conduct Administrators (ASCA), and NASPA. Outside of Student Affairs, Ron is an active member of his local OrangeTheory Fitness studio and is an avid travel influencer and group trip planner. Lastly, Ron enjoys running and taking long walks with his four-legged companion, Carter.
