Along with serving as the Faculty-in-Residence for the Southwest Area, Ben plays multiple roles in the undergraduate experience. He is the Associate Chair and Lead Adviser in a large major (Psychology), and he is the co-adviser to the Northwestern chapter of Psi Chi (the International Honor Society in Psychology). Prior to his time as a Faculty-in Residence, Ben was the Faculty Chair of Shepard Residential College. Ben’s teaching and writing revolve around statistical and research methods, though his background in Clinical and Developmental Psychology has informed syllabi and publications around topics such as adolescence and fatherhood.
