Women in Leadership Cohort

Join Leadership Development & Community Engagement for a 6-week series of identifying key components and topics that explore what it means to be a woman in leadership. We are looking for undergraduate women who have an interest in learning more about the intersections of gender and leadership. Participants will have the opportunity to build relationships within a small, intimate cohort of women.

Joining the Women in Leadership series gives participants the opportunity to reflect on individual experiences and understandings, bringing diverse viewpoints to intentional conversations. If you are interested in joining the conversation of gender and leadership, strengthening your leadership skills and learning how to become a more effective leader within your organization or community regardless the challenges, Women in Leadership is for you!

Meet us for dinner every Tuesday from 5-7 pm starting April 17th, 2018. Please note that this is a six-week commitment to your cohort and to yourself.

Topics we will explore include, but are not limited to:

  • Stereotypes women face within leadership
  • How to use your strengths on a team
  • Societal trends of women in leadership
  • Perception of effectiveness as a leader

If you are interested in joining WIL, please follow this link to the online interest form and complete it by April 12, 2018.

This quarter we are pleased to launch a secondary track of Women in Leadership for those who have completed the first cohort series. Please email Adrian Bitton at adrian.bitton@northwestern.edu if you are eligible and interested in participating.

If you have any questions about either cohort opportunity, please contact Adrian Bitton, Assistant Director of Leadership Development & Community Engagement.
