Meet the IPAs

The International Peer Advisors (IPAs) are here to help!  Each incoming student will be assigned to an IPA-led group. IPAs are current undergraduate students dedicated to providing you with information and resources. The IPA Exec Board selects, trains, and supervises the IPAs. The Exec Board also plans IPA led activities during ISO.

 IPAs 2018

Meet the 2018 IPA Exec Board!

Jae

Jae

Hi! My name's Jae and I am a rising junior, studying Industrial Engineering and Economics. I'm originally from Seoul, South Korea but grew up in Singapore, England, and graduated high school from Columbia, MO. I was an IPA last year and participated in ISO as a freshman; I’m so excited to meet you guys and make 2018 ISO a memorable experience! On campus, I’m involved in International Student Association (ISA), NU Crew, my sorority, and Institute for Student Business Education (ISBE). My favorite part about Northwestern is definitely all the people I’ve met and our campus - the Lakefill is always an amazing spot to just hang out and admire the Chicago skyline.

I am an incoming senior studying Industrial Engineering and Economics, with an Entrepreneurship certificate. I grew up in Vancouver, Canada, but have also lived abroad in Australia and Italy. I have been an IPA the past two years, and this year will be on the ISO Executive Board. On campus, I am a co-captain of the men’s club soccer team, a strategic director of ISBE Micro-finance, and a trombonist in the Northwestern Philharmonic Orchestra. Looking forward to ISO 2018.

Eric

I am Eric and I am a sophomore studying Industrial Engineering and Communication Studies. I am also pursuing the IMC certificate. I was born in Shanghai, China and I grew up in Vancouver, Canada. A fun fact about myself: I studied 7 different languages though I can probably only speak 3.

Diana

Diana

Hi guys! I'm a sophomore from Managua, Nicaragua. I'm majoring in History and Cognitive Science (a weird combo I know), with a minor in English. I'm involved with ISA, Habitat for Humanity, NUHeights, and Phi Alpha Delta, the pre-law fraternity. In my free time, I love to ski, even though there are no mountains in Illinois or Nicaragua. I also love exploring Chicago and its neighboring areas by going to restaurants, festivals, concerts, and pretty much anything that sounds fun. I'm super excited to meet all of you this fall and welcome you to Northwestern. Go Cats!
