Patient Support Services

For Northwestern students using the Health Service on the Evanston Campus, Adebola Adeniyi is your resource for patient support services. She is available to assist you as a personal healthcare concierge with your questions and decision-making processes concerning:

  • eligibility for accessing and navigating healthcare services available to students
  • learning how to become a more effective and knowledgeable user of healthcare services
  • connecting with resources to resolve issues with health insurance coverage, claims, deductibles, interpreting an Explanation of Benefits statement (EOB) and payment for services
  • guidance on coordinating your health care needs and information about other support resources 
  • processes on requesting pre-authorization from health insurance carriers for diagnostic testing and specialty healthcare services
  • discussing and helping resolve student concerns about patient satisfaction with healthcare services

Please do not use Patient Support Services if you are experiencing a medical emergency, including those related to excessive alcohol consumption.  Call 911 to summon paramedics or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Office Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Walk-in hours (no appointment needed) for students who wish to drop by with questions or concerns specific to the patient support services outlined above are every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 pm. Just ask for Adebola Adeniyi at the front desk.  Additional scheduling availability by appointment with Adebola may be made via email or calling her.
