Amber is originally from Knightstown, IN.  She earned her PharmD from the Purdue University College of Pharmacy in 2009.  While earning her degree, she worked for Kroger as a pharmacist intern.  Upon graduation, she was hired to manage a Kroger pharmacy in Kokomo, Indiana and began precepting pharmacy students from both Purdue and Butler Universities.  She began working at the Northwestern University Health Service in October 2013.

In her free time, she enjoys attending White Sox games, taking ASL classes and reading just about anything she can get her hands on.

Ronna Gordon, Rph

Ronna has been working as a Pharmacist at the NUHS Pharmacy since 2011.  She earned a  Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University in 1989 and previously worked at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and at Health Rite Pharmacy in Skokie, Illinois.   Ronna enjoys working with the students at Northwestern University and finds her position in the pharmacy both challenging and rewarding.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, taking long walks with her dog and spending time with her husband and three children.

Tony Purkal began working at Northwestern in January 2011, bringing with him backgrounds in hospital pharmacy leadership, and retail and specialty pharmacy operations and training and development.  Since becoming a staff Wildcat, Tony has earned a Bachelor of Science, General Studies in Leadership and Organization Behavior at Northwestern University, becoming a Wildcat student alumnus.

He is an advocate for building communities of lifelong, active leaders and learners rooted in the tradition of liberal education.  His prior experiences in student and academic affairs in various capacities at Grand Valley State University, including serving as Student Body President and as a Liberal Education Scholar in the provost’s strategic planning initiative, have instilled within him similar values and guiding principles to effectively support the Division of Student Affairs’ broad strategic themes.
