Chapter Assessment

Assessment is the process of gathering and discussing information from multiple and diverse sources in order to develop a deep understanding of what [chapters] know, understand, and can do with their knowledge as a result of their experiences; the process culminates when assessment results are used to improve subsequent learning. (Huba and Freed 2000)

Each chapter will be required to conduct an assessment project in order to learn more about their chapter.

At the All-President's Meeting on November 8, 2017, Kelly Becker from Northwestern's office of Student Affairs Assessment equipped chapter presidents with the necessary skills to develop an assessment instrument to implement within their chapters.

Chapters will be asked to develop an assessment instrument to use in order to learn more about their chapter. These instruments can take many forms: surveys, questionairres, focus group, etc.

The chapter’s assessment instrument and rationale for the chosen project are due on Sunday, Janary 28, 2018 at 11:59pm.
