Reared in Mark, Mississippi, Travis received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Mississippi Valley State University, Masters of Education in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Arkansas, and currently is a Ph.D. Candidate in College Student Affairs Administration at the University of Georgia. Prior to becoming the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Northwestern University, Travis served as Senior Coordinator of Greek Life at the University of Georgia.  Travis has also done work in residence life, university Development, student conduct, student leadership & service, assessment and institutional diversity all at various times throughout his stint at the University of Georgia and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Travis is an active member of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) and currently serves on the editorial board for AFA’s Oracle Research Journal. Travis is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. where he has held several state and national leadership positions such in multiple areas such as Reclamation, Retention, & Transitions and member of the national Commission on Business and Economic Development.

In his free time, Travis enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, sporting events, and exploring the city of Chicago.
