The University strongly encourages individuals to report incidents of discrimination or harassment to one of the individuals listed under How to Report Discrimination or Harassment.
All University employees holding a faculty position, managerial or supervisory role (including student employees) who are aware of conduct that may violate the Policy on Discrimination and Harassment are obligated to report it.
All University employees (including student employees) are obligated to report incidents of sexual misconduct of which they become aware, unless they have a recognized confidentiality privilege.
An exception are campus-based individuals, such as CARE or CAPS counselors, who have a confidentiality privilege. Confidential resources will not disclose information about incidents of sexual misconduct to anyone, including law enforcement or the University, except in very limited situations, such as when failure to disclose the information would result in imminent danger to the individual or to others.
