Student Access to On-Campus Buildings and Services

The following grids outline the campus buildings and services that are automatically available to different populations of students during Fall quarter. Electronic access has been provided because the building offers academic or student services to a broad population.

Access to these automatic access buildings may temporarily be removed based on a student’s quarantine/isolation status or testing noncompliance. Visit the undergraduate testing page for more information on testing noncompliance and reinstating access. All students should make sure to have their Wildcard and daily symptom tracking badge with them at all times when on campus in order to receive this access.

Any preexisting additional access that students, faculty or staff may have to buildings across campus has not changed; the following automatic access provided only expands existing access levels. Individual access requests can still be made by the schools/units to: allow for expanded access for individuals outside the stated days/hours or allow for access to buildings not included on the linked building list. Please follow your existing school/unit’s process and submit individual access requests to Facilities following the existing building access process.

Students with any questions or issues accessing these automatic access buildings should contact the Coronavirus Resource Team at returntocampusteam@northwestern.edu, and include Building & Service Access in the subject line of your email and your 7-digit Student ID (located on your Wildcard) in the body of your message. For urgent, temporary access to these automatic access buildings, please call the Facilities Management Service Center at (847) 491-5201.
