Scheduling Appointments with Northwestern Medicine

Please note, the NM scheduling link should only be used by symptomatic students in Evanston during December. All faculty and staff should follow the testing directions outlined in the faculty and staff section of the website.

You will need to follow these steps to register for a MyNM account and make your testing appointment.

  1. First, ensure you’ve registered for your MyNM account. If you have already downloaded the MyNM app or have an established account, you do not need to create a new account. Appointments can only be scheduled by Northwestern students and staff; others will see a warning message.
    If you haven’t yet, complete these steps first:
    • Register for your MyNM account online
      Please note that if you click the above link on your phone, it will prompt you to download the MyNM app and walk you through the same steps after you’ve downloaded the app.
    • Click the Sign Up Now button.
    • On the Please Identify Yourself page, you will be asked to enter your activation code. Since you have no code, click the Sign Up Online button.
    • Under the What Type of Access Do You Need header, click the Access for Myself link.
      Do not click Not a patient? Click here.

    • Take two to three minutes to complete the registration process by sharing basic demographic information. 
    • After entering demographic information, some users will see an Additional Information Required webpage. Please note that if you see this page, stop at this point and do not attempt to complete this form. Email for assistance, and be sure to provide your date of birth and NetID.

      If you do not see the Additional Information Required screen (above), you can proceed with scheduling your appointment.
      Click Schedule an Appointment in the right-hand column.
  2. Select Northwestern University Testing Services toward the bottom of the list and click the purple Continue button at the bottom of the page. 
  3. You will be routed to the Schedule an Appointment screen. 
    Select the location you will be going to for testing.
  4.  Select the available time that works best for you.

  5. Confirm all the information is correct and click the This Information Is Correct button at the bottom of the screen to continue.
    Please note: Insurance is not needed for this visit. You do not need to enter anything here.

  6. Next you will schedule the appointment. Write COVID Testing in the What is the most important thing you want addressed during this visit? box and click Schedule in the bottom right corner to confirm.
  7. You will receive a confirmation immediately via email
  8. If something comes up and you need to reschedule your appointment, please cancel the appointment. You can then log back into the system through your MyNM account or you confirmation email to reschedule.

ECheck-In Process

We encourage you to complete the eCheck-In process prior to your visit to reduce the time required to complete your appointment at our on-site testing facility.  The eCheck-In process can be done up to 10 days prior to your scheduled appointment.

  1. Click the eCheck-In box.
  2. Next, you must review and sign the NU Covid Consent, the NU Informed Covid Consent and the HIPPA Notice of Privacy. Click the Review and Sign button for each document.
    NOTE: You will not be able to move forward without signing the documents.

  3. Click Next.
  4. The Verify Your Personal Information form will open. Click the Edit button if you need to make modifications.
  5. You must check the This information is correct box. Click Submit.
  6. The confirmation window opens with your appointment information.
