Assistant Director, Student Career Advising

Taylor provides career advising to students in the Harvey Kapnick Center for Business Institutions Minor from the time they declare the minor through graduation helping them connect their Northwestern experience to professional opportunities. In addition to guiding students through the process of applying to jobs, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities, Taylor collaborates with Kapnick Center staff to develop tailored services and programming.

Taylor earned her Bachelor's degree with majors in Anthropology, Sociology and Spanish from Cornell College and a Master's in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. Her previous work includes supporting students in the areas of career development, experiential learning, new student orientation, retention initiatives, student ethics and conduct, and civic engagement. She enjoys working with students to think creatively to find fulfilling work.

In her spare time Taylor can be found baking sweet treats, spending time with family and friends and finding ways to get involved and give back to her community.

Taylor's advice to students: Be willing to explore and enjoy it! You don’t know what you don’t know…so it's important to be patient and take the time to get to know yourself and what opportunities are available.
