CareerCat Access

Important Update

Beginning Tuesday, June 5, Handshake will replace CareerCat as NCA’s career platform for career activities (events, information sessions, workshops) and job and internship opportunities. Northwestern students, alumni and post-docs will continue to use CareerCat through Monday, June 4. MEDILLINK, Medill’s career platform, will also transition to Handshake.

  • Documents (resumes, cover letters) currently stored in CareerCat (or MEDILLINK) must be retrieved from CareerCat/MEDILLINK and saved to your device by Monday, June 4. After this date, you will not be able to access either system or your documents.
  • The last day for current students to make an appointment with an NCA career counselor or adviser in CareerCat will be Friday, June 1. Current students will be able to schedule appointments in Handshake once the system launches on June 5.

You will be able to gain access to Handshake beginning Tuesday, June 5. For more information on utilizing the Handshake platform once the system goes live, please visit the Handshake Help Center
