As a Senior Assistant Director, Jeff provides career counseling to students in the Bienen School of Music, School of Communication, McCormick School of Engineering, School of Professional Studies, and Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. Jeff helps students make successful career decisions that fit their unique personality and professional goals. Some of these decisions might include choosing an academic major, assessing interests, values, strengths and skills, and exploring/discovering different career paths. In addition, Jeff can help with selecting and applying to graduate schools. Additionally, Jeff is responsible for training and supervising NCA's Career Counseling interns. Jeff joined NCA a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Jeff earned his M.S. Rehabilitation Counseling from the Illinois Institute of Technology and his B.S. in Clinical Psychology from Grand Valley State University. Before joining NCA, Jeff worked as a counselor in mental health at a comprehensive behavioral health center and in an outpatient mental health center in a hospital setting, working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Jeff is a playwright in his other career. Jeff also likes spending his time with family, coaching hockey, and writing.

Jeff’s favorite advice for students: “Don’t allow people to set limits for you or discourage you from your path. Explore and do all that you want to be.”
