Training for Student-Organized Seminars
We provide training for undergraduates who lead student-organized seminars.
Student-organized seminars (SOSs), are credit-bearing courses led by undergraduates. Undergraduate SOS leaders gain depth of knowledge in their seminar topic and valuable leadership, organizational, and mentoring experience.
The Searle Center program provides:
- Coaching for leaders as they plan and run their seminars.
- A forum to engage with other SOS leaders about the experience.
- An opportunity to reflect on the experience and contribute to future leader development.
Those interested in leading a student-organized seminar should contact their sponsoring school. Currently, leaders in Bienen School of Music, the School of Communication, the School of Education and Social Policy, and the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences take part in the Leader Development Program.
