Journalism Residency Programs Abroad
Journalism students complete a residency in Argentina, Qatar, or South Africa, in partnership with a wide variety of newspapers, magazines, media companies, and/or public relations firms.

This intercampus program offers Evanston students the opportunity to study at Northwestern's campus in Qatar.

Northwestern partners with prestigious universities around the world to offer exchange partnerships to students.
Students enroll directly at an exchange partner university abroad and choose among a wide variety of courses.

Northwestern affiliates with external program providers and other universities to offer a variety of other study abroad programs, which Northwestern vets for safety and academic integrity.

Affiliated ProgramsUnaffiliated Programs
Unaffiliated programs are programs run by providers or other universities that have not been vetted by Northwestern and with which Northwestern does not have a formal agreement. Northwestern may grant students permission to apply to an unaffiliated program provided they have specialized academic needs that cannot be met by one of our many Northwestern and affiliated programs.
