The CET Jordan: Intensive Language program offers students the opportunity to complete one year of material in a semester by taking a full load of Arabic language classes, meeting with an Arabic language partner, attending language activities, and upholding a full-time language pledge. In addition, students choose two content-based electives taught in Arabic that focus on the history, politics, and culture of the Arab World.
Open to students from all majors meeting Northwestern's minimum application requirements.
1 year (3 quarters) of college-level Arabic or the equivalent

Students share off-campus apartments with local roommates and other CET students, providing not just a place to live, but an extension of the Arabic language classroom and a daily opportunity for cultural exchange. No meals are included, however, many supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants are within walking distance as is the University of Jordan.
