How Do I Find CWA Events?
The Center for the Writing Arts hosts lectures, readings, colloquia, and informal brown bag lunches at a variety of venues, most of which are located on South Campus. The following links will give you pictures of buildings, maps and location information. We look forward to seeing you at our events!

Using Public Transportation

CTA, RTA, METRA and Pace can get you to our events. Northwestern has a wonderful site to help you learn more about how accessible these systems are to you.


Parking at NU
Parking in the two-tiered garage on South Campus is open to the public after 4:00PM Monday through Friday, and on weekends and holidays. Northwestern University "F" permits are required between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Center for the Writing Arts
We're located on the 4th floor (Room 4-315) in Kresge Centinnial Hall, 1880 Campus Drive in the northwest corner of the building. Kresge Hall is located immediately east of University Hall.

Fisk Hall
Home of the Medill School of Journalism, located at the entrance to South Campus Drive.

Harris Hall, Room 108
First floor, Harris Hall, 1881 Sheridan Hall. Harris is located in the middle of the arc formed by Sheridan Road at the intersection of Chicago Avenue. If you are approaching from the street, go through the Arch; Harris is the first building on the right.

University Hall, Hagstrum Room
2nd floor in Room 201, 1897 Sheridan Road. This elegant room is part of the English Department. University Hall is immediately north of Harris Hall.


Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art: Pick-Laudati Auditorium
On the south campus Arts Circle, it's across from the doors of Pick-Staiger Concert Hall.
