New Mom Support Group

Once a month, this group of new moms gather on the Women's Center on the Chicago and Evanston campuses to discuss the thrills and challenges of being a new mom.  The group meets in Evanston on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, and in Chicago on the 3rd Monday of each month. Email Suzie Campbell for more information.

Lactation Rooms

Lactation rooms help support working mothers upon their return from leave and foster a family-friendly environment at the University. The Women's Center now has a lactation space on the first floor of our Evanston location for all nursing mothers. For more information on access to our lactation room and the others on both campuses, visit the Office of Work/Life and Family Resources website.

General questions about the mothers' rooms should be directed to the Office of Work/Life Resources at (847) 491-3612.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Organized by the Office of Human Resources, the annual Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day is a free event open to family and friends, aged 8-16, of Northwestern faculty and staff members. This educational program is intended to introduce children to a variety of workplace roles and to help them envision their professional goals. This event was founded by the Ms. Foundation for Women and was later formed into the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation.
