Friday, May 16 - NU Connections Spring Reception
The Women's Center; 12 - 1 pm
Welcome all new staff women! This program aids newly employed female staff of
the Northwestern University community. We hope to give participants opportunities
to broaden their network by meeting other women new to the university, meeting
veteran staff women, and learning what the Women's Center and our cosponsor,
the Association of Northwestern University
Women (ANUW), offer. NU

Dr.
Logan, a professor at NU's School of Education & Social
Policy,
has taught at Mundelein College (now Loyola University)
in Chicago where she also served as Director of Career
Development. She was Director of Faculty Development and
Assistant Dean for Educational Services at NU's School
of Continuing Studies. Currently, she teaches in the School
of Education and Social Policy. Dr. Logan's research and
interest areas include gender issues in the expression
of generativity, spirituality and wisdom in adulthood,
and career/family transitions. She and Dr. Dan McAdams
are co-directing an investigation of Faith, Politics, and
Life
Stories. Under the auspices of the Foley Center for the
Study of Lives, Dr. McAdams and Dr. Logan are soon to begin
a longitudinal study of adulthood. In addition, Dr. Logan
has extensive experience in teaching and learning in adulthood.

Listen to the experiences of women who have made
significant career changes: Holly Katz, who moved from
human resources
in the world of business to counseling, and Beth Knobbe,
whose moved from her previous position in quality assurance,
to her current work with undergrads at the Sheil Catholic Center.
