Come mingle with your fellow feminists and enjoy a free lunch outdoors! Vegetarian lunches too!



LGBT Resource Center LGBT Support Network

- LGBT Fall Welcome Reception: Wednesday, Sept 30th
1800 Sheridan Rd; 4:30 - 6 pm
Join members of the LGBT community as we welcome new students and staff, get to know each other and enjoy some refreshments at the John Evans Alumni Center, 1800 Sheridan Rd.

- NU Connections Fall Reception: Friday, Oct 9th
The Women's Center; 12 - 1 pm
Welcome all new staff women! This program aids newly employed female staff of the Northwestern University community. We hope to give participants opportunities to broaden their network by meeting other women new to the university, meeting veteran staff women, and learning what the Women's Center and our cosponsor, the Association of Northwestern University Women (ANUW), offer. NU Connections hosts luncheons each quarter. Please go to the NU Connections website for more information and how to register.

 

- 23nd Annual Women's Staff Holiday Luncheon: Friday, Dec 5th
The Women's Center; 11 am - 2 pm
Staff from the Women’s Center and the Association of Northwestern University Women (ANUW) cordially invite all women staff to this festive event to honor your contributions to NU. RSVPs will be accepted starting in November. More information will follow.

- Survival Skills: Wednesday, Feb 24th
The Women's Center; 12 - 1 pm
For Graduate Students and Junior Faculty Women
A panel of NU tenured faculty women will discuss tips on how to get through graduate school and how to launch a successful academic career. They will also share their wisdom regarding what it takes to survive faculty life.

- Vagina Monologues: February TBD

Students from College Feminists and the American Medical Women's Association will sponsor Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues.

 

- International Women's Day: Monday. March 8th
The Women's Center; 12 pm - 1 pm
Come celebrate with the company of phenomenal women as we honor the achievements of women across the globe!

 

- Take Back the Night: April TBD

The American Medical Women's Association, the Women’s Leadership Coalition and College Feminists proudly present Take Back the Night, the annual march against sexual assault.

- Take Our Daughters to Work Day: Thursday, April 22rd
This marks the 16th year of participation in Take Our Daughters to Work Day for Northwestern University. The Ms. Foundation’s theme this year is, “Revolutionizing the Workplace,” which seeks to emphasize the freedom to be yourself at work, to examine roles in the workplace and to validate diversity in fostering a better work environment. To get involved on the Evanston campus, contact Renée Redd at r-redd@northwestern.edu.
Registration forms will be available online on our website by mid-April.

 

- May - Black Women's Retreat
