| Outreach
The Women’s
Center’s outreach goal consists of
building alliances and promoting collaboration, primarily
among Northwestern’s women student, faculty and staff.
To help us effectively serve this diverse community of women,
we have
established a strong network of individuals drawn from various
departments and organizations.
Our extensive collaborative work has included the co-sponsorship
of programs, serving on various committees and doing firesides
in residential halls. Upon request, we are available to do
presentations to departments, campus groups and halls of
residence. We can speak on what the Women’s Center
does or on other wide ranging issues that affect women’ lives.
An important
part of our outreach goal is to help women forge strong
connections with each other. In order to ensure that
this takes place, we create programs and events that act
as forums for women to make initial contact and also to
strengthen already existing relationships. Some of these
programs include:
- Creating
a Network of Women
- International Women’s Day Celebration
- NU Connections
- Women Staff Holiday Luncheon
We invite you to join us in this endeavor, of transforming
Northwestern into a community that not only supports
women’s
academic and career aspirations but also celebrates
them.
