To Ryan Field (football)/Welsh-Ryan Arena (basketball) via the Metra
- Take the Metra Union Pacific North Line toward Kenosha
- Get off at Central St., Evanston
- At street level, head east on Central St. (do not cross Green Bay Rd.)
- Walk to the first traffic light, which is Ashland Ave.
- Ryan Field is directly in front of you
- Welsh-Ryan Arena is directly north of Ryan Field (take a left on Ashland Ave.)

- Take the "CTA Purple Line" north toward Linden
- Get off at Central St.
- At street level, head west on Central St. (away from hospital)
- Walk a few blocks until you see Ryan Field on your right
- Welsh-Ryan Arena is directly north of Ryan Field
