Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)
U.S. citizens and permanent residents should register travel plans with the U.S. Department of State Smart Travel Enrollment Program. This will place you on a consular listserv to receive time-sensitive updates from the local U.S. Embassy. Non-U.S. citizens should inquire about similar services provided by their home government.
