Faculty/Staff Annual Commuter Permit

Permit Privileges: Unlimited parking access to the assigned garage. Vehicle storage for over 24 hours is not permitted. Only one vehicle per parking permit. Annual Commuter Permit is valid from 10/1/12 - 9/30/13.

Note: Effective June 1, 2012, monthly parking is no longer available in C-LOT.

Evanston Campus: This permit is valid in all Faculty/Staff lots on the Evanston campus. It is the only permit that is valid on both campuses. All other Chicago campus part-time permits are not valid on the Evanston campus. No Evanston campus permit is valid on the Chicago campus.

Evening and Weekend Permit

Permit Privileges: Unlimited parking access to the assigned garage between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following morning, with 24-hour access on the weekend and University holidays.

Students, faculty and staff who live within the designated Chicago campus boundaries are eligible to purchase the permit without department/school approval.

Note: Evanston faculty and staff with a valid full-time Evanston campus parking permit may purchase the Chicago weekend and evening permit at a reduced rate. Contact the Chicago Parking Office at 312-503-1103 for more information.

Weekend Annual Permit

Permit Privileges: Twenty-four hour parking access to the garage beginning at 4 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. the following Monday. If a University holiday falls on a Friday, the permit will be valid beginning at 4 p.m. of the Thursday prior to the holiday. If the University holiday falls on a Monday, the permit will allow access until 8 a.m. the Tuesday after the holiday.

Students, faculty and staff with valid WildCARDs may purchase the permit. If a student wishes to purchase the pass for a visitor, he or she must supply the Parking Office with the following information:

  • Visitor's name
  • Visitor's vehicle make, license plate number and state

2012-13 Parking Fees:
  • Annual: $210
    Effective dates: 10/1/12 - 9/30/13
  • Quarterly Rate: $61.50
  • Single Weekends: $21

Application Process

Motorcyle/Scooter Annual Permit

Limited motorcycle/scooter parking is available in the A-LOT and D-LOT. A permit is required to park in the motorcycle-designated spaces.

Note: Spyder, Roadster, or Tri-Rod motorcycles are charged as passenger vehicle fees.

Annual Rate: $180

Replacement Permit

Each replacement/additional decal: $11

Parking Keycards

Parking Keycards are available for individuals who have a Chicago Parking Permit and prefer not to use their WildCARD as their parking pass. Either the Parking Keycard or WildCARD can be activated for parking, not both.

Evanston Campus Faculty/Staff Daily Hang Tag

Permit Privileges: Daily parking on Evanston campus in designated lots. NU faculty/staff only.

Price: $8.25

Ryan Field Permit

Permit Privileges: Parking at Evanston's Ryan Field.

Note: Shuttles run from Ryan Field to the Evanston and Chicago campuses. View the Intercampus and Ryan Field Shuttles for more information.

Ryan Field permits can be purchased at University Services Chicago (710 N. Lake Shore Dr., Abbot Hall, Room 100) or the Evanston Parking Office (1819 Hinman Ave.).

Note: Ryan Field Permit Parking is prohibited during all home football games. For more information, visit University Police's Ryan Field parking web page.
