Residential Security Program
The Residential Security Program provides protective services for University students residing in University residence halls.
Community Service Officers, part of University Police, work overnight in residential lobbies on the Evanston campus to:
- Monitor and control entry into the facility
- Report criminal activities, suspicious persons and suspicious circumstances
- Aid in emergency situations
Community Service Officers are stationed at posts inside the 11 largest residence facilities with 150 or more occupants. Contracted security officers are assigned to residence halls with occupancies of 80 to 150.
Community Service Officers are on-duty from 8:00 pm - 6:00 am daily, except during holiday and summer breaks.
