Bike Registration & Locks

University Police offers free bicycle registration for all students, faculty and staff. Registration serves as a deterrent to theft and aids in the recovery of stolen bicycles. When a bicycle is registered with University Police, it is concurrently registered with either the Chicago or Evanston Police Department.

Register your bicycle below, and your registration sticker will be mailed to the provided address.

The NU Parking Office, located at 1841 Sheridan Road, Evanston, and the Chicago Campus University Police station (211 E. Superior Street), also sell U-shaped Kryptonite locks at cost. See photo below for common bike serial number locations.

Any questions regarding bike safety and security, email University Police Sergeant Tim Reuss.
