Emergency Safety Techniques
Evacuation
Leave and move away from a building or space if it is no longer safe to be there.
Shelter-In Place
Shelter-in-place can be implemented when hazardous materials have been released into the atmosphere. Select a small, interior room with no or few windows and take refuge there. It does not mean sealing off the entire office.
Lock Down
Lock down is a temporary sheltering technique to limit exposure to a shooter or similar threat. When alerted, occupants of the building in the area of concern should lock all doors and windows, and prohibit entry or exit to anyone until further notice.
