The University Police Department (UP) has the primary responsibility for

• crime prevention
• law enforcement
• parking control
• emergency response
• policing of special events

and various other community services on both the Chicago and Evanston campuses. UP provides a full range of campus services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

UP is dedicated to providing excellent service through Community Policing partnerships that build trust, reduce crime and create a safer environment for learning, working and living in this special community.
