Planning Sheet

At the start of any new project we ask that you provide us with several pieces of information that will help us create an effective publication and ensure that the process is as efficient as possible. Among the things we'll ask:

  • Who are the project's primary audiences?
  • What are the primary objectives of the project?
  • Who from your department with the authority to make decisions will act as contact person?

The more you can streamline the departmental approval process, the faster your project will go.

  • Do you have an idea of your budget and the quantity to be printed?
We'll need this information to provide you with an estimate.
  • To what chart string (account number) should editorial, design, and outside costs be billed?

It's also helpful to have all information required for effective deadline planning (vacation dates, office hours, etc.).

We have created a project planning sheet (pdf) that may help you prepare for a project.
