SALUTE TO FIRST BUILDING
With Evanston residents and Northwestern community members looking on, Mayor Lorraine Morton and Eugene Sunshine, senior vice president for business and finance, unveiled a bronze plaque commemorating the site of the University’s first building. Located at Hinman Avenue and Davis Street, the building, known as Old College, was built in 1855, later moved to the present-day campus and eventually razed. (Photo by Stephen Anzaldi)
