STARGAZING AT DEARBORN

Northwestern's Dearboarn Observatory continues to offer free public viewings each Friday evening from 9 to 11 p.m. Visitors will receive a brief orientation, followed by an invitation to see stars and planets through the Observatory's historic 18.5-inch refracting telescope. Current conditions, in which the five planets of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter are closely grouped and visible even to the naked eye, provide for rare viewing opportunities. Everyone is welcome, but reservations are strongly encouraged for groups and can be made by calling (847) 491-7650. (Photo by Stephen Anzaldi)
