Students to Exhibit Work at Dittmar Gallery
EVANSTON, Ill.
--- Northwestern University’s Dittmar Memorial
Gallery will host the Undergraduate Art Exhibition “Junction,” from
April 1 to April 30.
The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 8 a.m. to
10 p.m. daily. A 6 to 8 p.m. opening reception, Thursday, April
8, hosted by the Dittmar Gallery, is free and open to the public.
Featuring
the artwork of 11 Northwestern seniors in the department of art
theory and practice, the “Junction” exhibition
exemplifies the diverse styles and backgrounds of the artists.
The exhibition will consist of sculpture, painting and photography.
The exhibiting student artists are Stephanie Carter, Sophie De
Geest, Angela Del Brocco, Molly Harnischfeger, Michael Kanarek,
Lilia LaGesse, Sebastien Millon, Andrea Otteson, Joanna Prasertong,
Jennifer Rozbruch and Susan Schwegman.
In addition to exhibiting artwork by Northwestern undergraduate
art students, the Dittmar Memorial Gallery also places emphasis
on ethnic cultural art, art by emerging artists, art by or about
women and traveling art shows.
The Dittmar Memorial Gallery is located on the main level of
Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Drive, Evanston campus. Admission
is free.
