Northwestern University theatrical and dance productions are held
in facilities in the Theatre and Interpretation Center, on the Arts
Circle, Evanston campus, as noted below.

MAINSTAGE THEATRE
The eight-show Northwestern University 2003-04 Mainstage season is generously
supported by the Sara Lee Foundation.
“Danceworks 2004,” 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27; 7:30 p.m. Saturday,
Feb. 28; 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29; 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4; 7:30 p.m. Friday,
March 5; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6; and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, Josephine Louis
Theatre, 20 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston campus. This annual showcase features
the finest choreography of Northwestern University’s Dance Program. The
program will include new works by faculty and guest artists directed by Billy
Siegenfeld, artistic director of the acclaimed “Jump Rhythm Jazz Project.” The
choreographers are dance faculty members Billy Siegenfeld, Joseph Mills, Lisa
Wymore, Laura Wade and Bril Barrett, and guest choreographers Moustapha Bangoura
from Africa, former soloist with the Les Ballets Africaines, and Jenny Shore,
a Northwestern alumna. Single ticket prices are $17 for the general public; $15
for senior citizens and Northwestern faculty and staff; and $9 for full-time

“Children’s Introduction to the Dance,” 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
March 6, Josephine Louis Theatre, 20 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston campus. In conjunction
with “Danceworks 2004,” the Northwestern University Dance Program
will present a special “Children’s Introduction to the Dance” program
for youngsters aged 4 and up and their families. The event will include demonstrations
and excerpts from most of the dances featured in “Danceworks 2004” performed
by the show’s cast. An interactive segment will invite audience members
to explore some of the movement ideas from their seats. Dance faculty member
Susan A. Lee will moderate the informative program. All tickets are $5. To order
