CHICAGO --- Harvey J. Goldschmid, commissioner of the U.S. Securities
and Exchange Commission, will deliver the keynote speech at the 31st
Annual Securities Regulation Institute to be held Jan. 21 to 23 at
the Hotel del Coronado, Calif.
Presented by the Corporate Counsel Center of Northwestern University School of
Law, this year’s institute will focus on corporate and board governance,
post-Sarbanes-Oxley enforcement and litigation, as well as recent trends and
developments in financial reporting, disclosure practices, M & A transactions
and compensation.
Goldschmid will deliver his address Jan. 21; and William J. McDonough, chairman
of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, will deliver a speech at the
Jan. 22 luncheon.
The institute offers a timely and comprehensive analysis of recent laws and developments
in the field of securities law by a distinguished group of speakers and panelists
drawn from leading securities practitioners, academics and SEC officials. They
will present practical solutions to the challenges facing corporate lawyers and
corporate counsel.
This event is part of Northwestern University School of Law’s continued
