What is University Christian Ministry?

Who Are We ?

We are a group of students who share with each other a common commitment to God and a spiritual life. We come from many backgrounds - like Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist, Lutheran, Catholic or just no-name spirituality. But whatever your faith (or doubts), you are welcome here.

In a Nutshell ...

College is a time of many changes and challenges. There are majors to choose, new friends to be made, grades to worry about. It can be both exciting and overwhelming. At UCM, we are a home away from home. In the midst of our busy lives,we get together to remind ourselves what really matters. Sunday dinners are the best time to meet folks and usually when we plan our other activities. If you join us, we think you will find that this is a place you can belong. UCM also offers an environment where faith and knowledge can be explored side by side. College life can raise faith questions that you've never had to deal with before. We don't pretend to know all the answers, but are willing to take on the questions with you.

Everyone's Welcome at UCM !

UCM affirms that God has called us to be in ministry to all persons regardless of race, culture, age, gender, class, ability, or sexual orientation. We realize that at times these people and others have met with discrimination and injustice, both of which cause pain, suffering, and spiritual depletion, and that these issues are sensitive within both the church and society. While we recognize that we are all not in agreement on the interpretation of scripture and God's grace, we acknowledge that God extends love and grace to all. Therefore, this environment is one where all God's children are recognized, nurtured and affirmed.
