1998 Conference

The 8th annual conference of the Center for Academic Integrity will be held at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, November 6 - 8, 1998. Washington and Lee will be observing their 250th anniversary, and the CAI conference will be a highlight of their celebratory year. Senator John Warner will deliver the opening keynote address.

The conference theme is "Academic Integrity: From Principles to Practice." There will be pre-conference workshops and major programs on sanctions, orientation programs for new students, "getting faculty on board," and developing specific action plans for moving students, faculty, and administrators from the level of academic integrity policies and principles to behaviors that can raise the level of honesty throughout a campus environment.

A registration mailing to CAI members will go out in early September, providing more details about this important event.
