Steering Committee for Tech Transfer

A Steering Committee was constituted by the President in 2001 to ensure that research, licensing and commercialization efforts of the University are mutually reinforcing. The Steering Committee for Technology Transfer is chaired by the President, and composed of Trustee Lester Knight, President Henry Bienen, Provost Daniel Linzer, Vice President for Research Jay Walsh, Assistant General Counsel John Calkins, and TTP Executive Director Indrani Mukharji.

The Steering Committee meets 2 – 3 times a year upon call of the Executive Director to review special issues related to inventions, patents, licensing and commercialization efforts of the University and to make appropriate recommendations. The Executive Director presents periodic reports on the status of invention disclosures, patent portfolio and commercialization activities to the Committee. The Committee shall meet with the Executive Director to render an opinion should an inventor or author ask for a review of decisions relating to, or policies affecting, an invention, discovery, or creative work.
