Billing arrangements vary
per program. Please use the chart below in conjunction with
the Northwestern Study Abroad list of affiliated
programs to determine which charges will be billed by Northwestern
University and which (if any) will be billed directly by the
Sponsoring Institution.
- Northwestern
University will bill tuition and the NU Study Abroad Administrative
Fee (SAAF) for all affiliated programs. Students on Exchange Programs are exempt from the SAAF. For a number of programs, NU will bill a Program Fee, which typically includes tuition, room, board, and airfare. Please check with your Sponsoring Institution for the components of your Program Fee.
- For all unaffiliated programs, Northwestern University
will bill only the SAAF.

For example, all affiliated programs run by IES are listed under IES.
