Language Requirements
There is no language requirement for participation in this exchange. Bocconi offers over 150 courses in English, including an undergraduate program in International Economics, Management and Finance. Northwestern students would be able to take courses in either English or Italian, depending on their language fluency.
For Beginners, language tutorials will be offered at Northwestern before departure. At Bocconi, Northwestern students will be able to take an intensive Italian course before the beginning of the semester, consisting of 60-70 hours. In addition, language courses are offered at various levels during the semester.Academic Specialties

Exchange Program Cost Information
- Students abroad for one quarter (fall) will pay Northwestern tuition for one quarter.
- Students abroad for two quarters (fall/winter; winter/spring) will pay Northwestern tuition equivalent to a semester (1.5 quarters).
- Students attending Northwestern exchange programs are not assessed the Study Abroad Administrative Fee.

Application Requirements
Northwestern students must do as follows:- First, call The Office of International Program Development (IPD) at 847-467-7834 to set up a personal interview - this is required as the first step towards application for this program
- Complete the Northwestern University Application for Permission to Study Abroad.
- Complete the IPD application for study abroad.
