Critical Theory, Literature & Media

» General Information

Location:

Paris, France

Description:

NEW IN 2011
This new program is designed to increase student sensitivity to the relationships and differences between the everyday world in which we live and its literary and cultural representations.  Students will deepen their understanding of the critical theoretical tradition by examining the foundational work found at the intersection of Critical Theory and Political Theory within the broader context of French politics and France's role in the European Union. Excursions will take students to various significant historical, political, and cultural sites in and around Paris.

Students who desire an academic year exchange may follow this program with a spring semester at Sciences Po or an internship through IFE (Internships in Francophone Europe).
